When a Host or visitor studies discrimination, our specialised group opinions the report and takes applicable motion. In 2022, now we have suspended almost 4,000 accounts globally for violating our Nondiscrimination coverage,” stated Airbnb.
Last 12 months, the San Francisco-based agency took down round 5,100 accounts for violating the coverage.
Meanwhile, within the report – launched on December 13 – Airbnb has detailed steps taken by it, previously 6 years, to deal with discrimination, and construct inclusion.
Airbnb’s non-discrimination coverage
According to the corporate, the coverage is ‘strictly enforced’ by the specialised Community Support group, established by it in 2016. The coverage, it stated, is being up to date to make it simpler for the group to use it, and implement it persistently.
With a concentrate on inclusion and respect, the coverage goals to get rid of illegal bias, discrimination, and intolerance from the platform, and to advertise a tradition that goes above and past mere compliance.
