Services’ Vijay Kumar despatched the (3/4 seed) seed Rahul Baitha of Maharashtra packing with a 11-6, 13-11, 11-3 within the males’s first spherical of the HCL-78th Senior National squash championships right here on Wednesday.

Playing a match after greater than two-and-half years, the 26-year-old appeared hungry and made a lot of Rahul’s weak spot on the frontcourt.

The different seed to bow out was Sanika Choudhari (5/8) of Delhi, who misplaced to Tanishka Jain of Maharashtra 11-9, 11-4, 1-11, 7-11, 5-11 within the ladies’s first spherical.
